The DVT therapy system is intended to be used preventatively in patients at risk for deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolisms. It effectively increases venous flow velocity to reduce unexpected stasis and upregulates fibrinolytic activities to prevent early blood clotting.

The user simply turns the power ON via the single-button control switch. A single-user "cuff" containing air bladders is connected to the unit. The control unit fills the cuff to a pre-determined pressure (50mmHg). Once reached, the pump turns OFF for a 60-second rest period while the cuff deflates. The cycle repeats automatically.
