Polyethylene Heat Shrinking Tape for Pipeline Anti-Corrosion is a wrap-around radiation cross-linked tape designed for corrosion protection of straight pipes, fittings, bends, elbows, and other irregular configurations. When heated, the backing layer shrinks and the adhesive flows, forming a reliable corrosion protection seal onto metal and adjacent coating surfaces.
The epoxy primer should be applied to the prepared pipe surface, then the heat shrinkable tape is immediately wrapped around the joint over the wet epoxy. Finally, center the closure patch on the overlap region.
