Polyethylene Heat Shrinking Tape is a wrap-around radiation cross-linked tape designed for corrosion protection of straight pipes, fittings, bends, elbows, and other irregular configurations. When heated, the backing layer shrinks and the adhesive flows, forming a reliable corrosion protection seal onto metal and adjacent coating surfaces.
The pipeline heat shrink tape consists of three layers: primer layer (liquid epoxy), adhesive layer (high shear strength copolymer), and film backing (radiation cross-linked high-density polyethylene).
